THE NET NET was founded in Boston, MA, in 1995. Sponsored by FitzGerald Communications, it offered a place to share reviews, arts, recipes, and reports on community events.
The Net Net is now produced in San Francisco, CA. The sections have grown, and new sections have been added. The Net Net has incubated ideas, and most of the original writers have moved on.
The Net Net's general theme is Things That Make Life Enjoyable, and this has always encompassed visual art, books, music, and food. It has expanded to include the implications of the Web and even the occasional examination of political questions. The Net Net is a product of the interests of its writers, and as those have shifted, so have The Net Net's contents.
The Net Net is open to new writers. If you have a contribution to one of our sections or an idea of your own that you'd like to develop, please review our author guidelines. You may also send inquiries by email, but please do not send attached files of any kind.
Would you like to advertise at The Net Net? Please contact The Net Net by email if you wish to become involved as an advertiser or sponsor. The Net Net will consider sponsorships for sections or for single articles, if the content is original and fits within The Net Net's scope.
